Corn is in season now and is it ever good! There is nothing like a fresh ear of corn, but these Mini Corn Muffins are worthy as well! Somehow their little mini size makes me think I'm sticking to a diet of some kind.

I loved this book, and the author Kathryn Stockett was especially adept at capturing the dialect of the maids.

I can't believe I was never assigned this book somewhere along the line, but it seemed a good choice after reading the Help.
I love dried hydrangeas. I like it even more when I can actually dry them myself instead of clipping their dessicated blooms from my gasping shrubs. I wish summer would stop giving us a smackdown every week!
