Potpourri Jeopardy for $500. The Daily Double.

by meg on March 7, 2012

Spring is almost here, kids! That snow we got last week has melted, the daffodils are coming up, and thanks be to God, the clocks are moving forward; which Meg is going to greatly appreciate since she practically needs sunglasses at 6:30 am because of the blinding light shining into her house. She thinks the stakes are high in Potpourri Jeopardy with the change of seasons and all, so here goes:

Meg loves Groupon. She obtained a dirt cheap laser treatment package for a hundred bucks. She’s had this patch of spider veins on her shin for the last 10 years, wherein everyone says – “what happened, did you walk into something“? No. Meg didn’t, but nature decided to curse her with this bizarre patch. She got it zapped yesterday and all that purple would be the veins collapsing into a little heap. There’s another small spot on the back of her leg, but she isn’t Gumby, damn it, and she was unable to photograph her thigh for those of you interested.

A room with a view:

The front room project is coming along; Meg loves the warm creamy color of her formal front room. One more weekend and the room will be complete; after that she does not want to see the Benjamin Moore store until next winter.

Fun project:

Meg had an old table that was falling apart in her cellar, so she took it apart and is painting one of the leaves with wine bottles (SURPRISE!) and she decided she going to hand paint the labels with names of real vineyards she’s been to, instead of the ones on the stencil. She can’t comprehend having Almaden on a label, that would be just as bad as having MATEUS on a bottle, which if you do not remember, was Todd’s favorite wine of choice to ply Lisa Loopner with:

Finally, Meg and her husband are booked on this quaint little riverboat named EMMA in September:

Squeal! They are going to cruise through the Languedoc region in the South of France for a week and stroll through some villages, and have dinner on their little boat every night. Meg is enchanted at the thought of the whole thing, plus having a personal chef to cook for her every day. Open bar to boot!

Meg hopes you all hit the Daily Double sometime this week!

Linlah loves that Meg took that first picture while Meg still had sock imprint on her ankle. And Mateus kept us 70′s girls happy when it needed to.

OMG! I’ve heard of that boat tour!! Is it the one where you stop at wineries and then the chef prepares food to complement the wine? We and some friends talked about doing that one some day. Man, but our list is long. I’m so glad you get to check it off yours!
